SCRIPT COORDINATOR
Bill Hooper
ABOUT
Welcome! I'm Bill. As a script coordinator with years of experience, I know what to look out for, and how to set everything up properly to avoid headaches.
Whether it's nailing down the best system for distribution with the production office, hashing out the details of the Day/Night Breakdown with the Script Supervisor, or looping in the 1st AD on key forthcoming changes, I'm familiar with the roles of all the departments during prep, production, and post – and help ensure the entire production team is on the same page.
And I've worked on multiple international shows, so I know the pitfalls to avoid there, and how to best communicate with an international crew.
I know Final Draft so well that I sometimes go in and manually edit the code. And Movie Magic Screenwriter? Got that covered too. I catch bugs even the company doesn't know about.
Thanks for visiting my site, and I look forward to hearing from you about working together!

TESTIMONIALS
"Bill Hooper is the best script coordinator I have ever worked with in my twenty years of writing and running television series. He has a masterful understanding of the writing process and a laser-sharp eye. Bill is not just a brilliant editor and proofreader – he also has a birds-eye view of the entire series and keeps incredible track of the story, characters, setups, payoffs, and emotional arcs. Bill is invested, passionate, and his workflow process is incredibly efficient. He makes me and my writing staff better in every way. Every time I have a new series, my first call is to Bill Hooper."

"Bill Hooper is simply the best of the best. Attention to detail, can-do attitude, many years of experience – Bill is always one of the first calls we make when we start a writers' room. Things feel completely under control when Bill is on the case – and that's the highest praise we can give!"
Showrunners
"Every time I go to hire a script coordinator, Bill's my first call. He's got that unique combination of technical thoroughness and artistic awareness. He senses what each particular production needs from a script to minimize confusion, but is also fully steeped in what the show is trying to do emotionally and thematically. He knows when to ask the questions that save me from making the kind of mistakes that will cause me to hang my head in post and say, "Why didn't I think of that before?"

"Having been a script coordinator before becoming a staffed writer, I’m quite familiar with the various pressures and unique responsibilities that come with the position. At times, the job asks the impossible – maintain laser-precise attention to detail while keeping an eye on the larger story and character arcs for continuity and inconsistencies. Bill excels at all these tasks and he was a fantastic and indispensable member of the Swamp Thing writers room – unquestionably the finest script coordinator I’ve worked with."
"Bill is the best script coordinator I've worked with... even-tempered, incredibly focused, smart about story, and willing to put in the extra effort. Bill is often the one calm in the midst of storms, utterly professional and totally reliable. I can always count on him to get the script in great shape, catch all those crazy mistakes, and deliver it where it needs to go. The best script coordinator you're going to find. Hire him before I get the chance to hire him again."
